The Data Controller for data gathered by this site is IDS S.r.l., registered office in Padua (PD) at Via Polonia 1.
Cookies are small text strings which sites visited by users send to their terminal (usually to their browser). Cookies are used to gather information on the use of those same sites, as after being stored in the user’s terminal they are retransmitted to the same sites at the user’s next visit.

Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “transmitting a communication using an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, to provide this service” (Provision of the personal data protection authority, Registry of provisions no. 229 dated 8 May 2014). They are not used for other purposes and are usually installed directly by the website owner or operator.

They may be divided into three types:

  1. surfing or session cookies, which ensure normal surfing and use of the website (e.g. allowing the user to make a purchase or to be authenticated to access restricted areas);
  2. analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to gather aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site;
  3. functional cookies, which allow the user to surf according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the user.

The use of technical cookies does not require consent. The provision of data is essential for surfing, as the site features would not be usable without the use of cookies.

Profiling or tracking cookies
Profiling cookies, which allow the user’s surfing to be followed both before and after connection to the site, are designed to create user profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences users reveal when surfing the site.
Use of profiling cookies is allowed only subject to the user’s express consent.
Provision of data is optional for the purposes of surfing but without the use of profiling cookies it will not be possible to send commercial communications most suited to user needs. In addition, surfing of the site and use of its content could be at least partly impaired.

Third party cookies
Cookies may also be installed on the web by other parties than the Controller, therefore when the user accesses content provided by third parties, he or she allows their cookies to be stored. To consult third parties’ information and consent forms, the user is required to access the third parties’ web link pages listed below.
